Miriam Gardsbane of Rockville, MD (USA) is another splendid example of youth taking control and making a difference for elephants after watching How I Became an Elephant. She is now passionate about helping elephants. She is not staying idle while elephants suffer. Miriam is affecting the hearts and minds of family and friends and her reach is growing. She will appear on Voice of America Radio in May. Along with friends and family Miriam makes clay elephants that she sells at the local Farmers Market. The proceeds all go to the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand, Lek Chailert’s elephant sanctuary that was showcased in our movie.
